Life Inside

The only company they have is the echoes/ghostly whispers/silent screams of their own thoughts/memories/yearnings.

If they think the construction can conceal secrets, consider again. Walls, including any other items, are capable of hearing. Ancient wisdom warn individuals that walls have ears, and while this may seem like a tale, the fact is surprising.

  • Especially, walls themselves can preserve the impressions of past events.

So, be careful about what you share within walls. They may be paying attention more than you suspect.

When Innocence Fades

The world once held/presented itself as/appeared to be a canvas of wonder, where each day was a new adventure/discovery/experience.
